SDRAM means Synchronous Data RAM, runs in synchronism with the clock. DDR also runs in synchronism with the clock but makes two reads/writes per clock cycle, but is very similar memory chip technology.
The full name is actually DDR-SDRAM.
I had a question earlier where I mentioned my computer uses DDR ram 333mhz PC2700. When shopping on ebay, I saw something that confused me so I looked it up. For example, http://www.dealtime.com/xPO-Kingston_256_MB_DDR_SDRAM_KVR333X64C25_256
How do you have DDR SDRAM? I thought SDRAM was completely different?
