DCOM Problem & Want to Downgrade from Vista Home Basic!

Jan 21, 2010 1:40PM PST

Hi, There! -- I'm a freelance website designer. I have a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5955, 3GB RAM, 160GB HDD. It came with Vista Home Basic loaded. I hate it! Meanwhile, had a virus incursion that took 2 days to get rid of, in spite of AVG, Glary and others. Keep getting "DCOM Process Server Launcher Service terminated unexpectedly" error & system auto-reboots. Want all of this gone so I can go to XP. How can I do this? Or is there a way to fix the "DCOM" error? Help! Downtime is costing me money &customers!

Sorry, but I left out that I have a Celeron 900 processor, (2.2GHZ), and I run Mozilla Firefox over Vista because I hate everything about windows! I'm a former Hardware Tech, and the only windows products that ever worked right is NT snd XP! Thanks much!
