General discussion

Dave Letterman has become an appendage of the DNC.

He regularly ridicules President Bush, and constantly attempts to paint the President as stupid.

Last night he looked frozen when Nancy Pelozi (sp?) came on stage. He looked like he wanted to kiss her feet, and treated her with something approaching religious deference. I turned it off.

Tonight he's got a bit ridiculing Sen. Lieberman.

I thought there was an equal time law.

What a doofus!

wait a second!

Letterman's job is to be nice and welcoming and suck-up to his guests. That's why he was smitten with Palosi.

As for his attack on GWB, that's because it's easy. No, really - as Jon Stewart says; "I mean c'mon the comedy has been writing itself with this administration"

Nevertheless, it is a general 'policy' of comedians to attack the current top-of-the-pyramid person.

There's just so much ...

... more jumping out about Pelosi. She IS the Dem leader in the House.

Most of the anti-Bush attempts at humor lack any sort of true comedic wit.

I do hope you aren't learning American politics from Jon Stewart.

lack any sort of true comedic wit.

Perhaps in your mind.

If you don't want him picking on republicans, vote democrat and he'll be picking on democrats.

Nah ...

... I've seen some clever Bush humor, but somewhere along the line all the cleverness was drained for an "easy target". Stewart even admits it himself, just not so sure that's what he intended with his comment.

It's like all the "Bush is stupid" jokes. Mostly they are just mean because (a) he's not stupid, and (b) those that think he is believe so because his public speech is not always the best. Making fun of (b) ridicules more than just our President.

It's the left's favored form of intellectual discourse.

Try to ridicule someone.

I guess it takes someone who is as dumb as Letterman

to truly appreciate his 'wit'.

dumb as Letterman

I guess he ain't Hoity toity enough fur ya'

I enjoy him, he's a little twisted, but that's OK.

Yah, right! That's why he welcomed Bill O'Reilly so 'warmly'

or Rush Limbaugh or any number of others.

Letterman's attacks on Bush are pathetic. No talent or originality. It's always the same stupid approach.

Letterman would swoon if one of the Clintons came on his show.

Bill O'Reilly showed how dumb Letterman really is.
