Dave, another question re a650

by jefs / January 1, 2005 12:55 PM PST

I've had the phone since mid afternoon, fully charged it, did a few entries to the phone book, and made one 22 minute call and a few one minute calls (no more than a total 1/2 hour talk).

The battery indicator just dropped down to one bar.

Is the battery life pretty low on this phone, should I buy an exteded battery? Thanks again. Jef

I have this phone and I agree with everything Dave has said. My battery life is pretty decent. I charge it about once every 4 days, and I use it on about 18 hrs a day, with moderate usage. When I charge it it is down to 2 or 1 bar. I like to charge it in case the next day I may use it more than normal so that I won't run out of juice.
On the other hand my wife got the Audiovox 8900 and uts battery life is very bad. I am on my second phone and the battery drops from 2 bars to none in about one call of about 10 minutes. They replaced the first phone saying it was defective but I have the same problem with the second one.
Overall Samsung a650 is an excellent phone (IMHO) compared to what is out there.

Found out today that entering info into the address book was what zapped my battery. Things look good today, the phone seems great!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
