that what you have to do is that "when windows fights with fire, you have to fight with fire too"
if you have the shortcut using(on desktop,or anywhere):
go on the shortcut right click and then click on the properties manu(alt-enter)and look what is written on the target menu,so you now can just copy it and paste on the run menu(windows-r)
now before presing enter dont forget to delet the last words on it for ex.:"C:\program files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.lnk"
here you have to remove the FIREFOX.ink
(the last word ***\****\ the last.exe)
end hit enter
step 2 (you can switch imeditely on step 2 if you are using the folder where it is intaled to use it)
now select everything there(ctrl-a) and press properties again,
if there are really the 850 mb as you said you now only have to select everything again and delete them with shift-delete.
the problem that you cant uninstall them from the control appears
if you have instaled the program before making a format of your PC.
PS: please let me know if it works
or if it didnt.
>>>I have quickbooks installed that we aren't even using. Dave
wants me to remove it because it taking up 840.00 MB. When I go to remove programs it says "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed" and it won't let me do anything else.
Any ideas????>>>>>
This came via email last night from my daughter, Dori. I haven't heard of this message before and not sure how to proceed. I know some products won't let you uninstall if you aren't connected to the net, but she's on cable 24/7. Quicken was installed on the computer when they bought it new a year ago, so I don't understand how the program can't tell that it's already installed.
To parrot Dori.....Any ideas????
