I take the "eugenics" part back - 'cause it's just a *dating* site. But if it becomes a *matrimonial* site - watch out!

Ok maybe you guys are not Apple fans and don't see the appeal. How about a thought experiment, how does a dating site for BOL fans or tech podcast fans sound? Wink

Oh gosh, then there'd be BOL e-tabloid of dating gossip...

Don't use dating services, plenty of other ways
May 6, 2010 10:00PM PDT

Hey People,
Do not use dating sites and services for meeting people. There are so many other ways and places to meet tech babes and tech dudes. All anyone really has to do is get out there and meet people.

I have notice that some IT and Tech people tend to want their relationships to work in the same manner as their technology. Hey people, relationships are analog...not digital. Happy Just be patient, get out there and meet people. It does work. Happy

Later.

Your point?

My take was essentially the same as the originator of the article that I linked to --from the well-respected techcrunch blog. How is that flamebait?

Wikipedia:

"Flamebait is a message posted to a public Internet discussion group, such as a forum, newsgroup or mailing list, with the intent of provoking an angry response (a "flame") or argument over a topic the troll often has no real interest in."

I'm not biting.

if you made this a dating site for warcraft players, we'd scoff at it the same... or at least i would...

Exactly...

It has nothing inherently to do with Apple fans. If this were any group of tech fans that revolve their love lives around a particular company's hardware/software, I'd be dissing it. It's just a little sweeter when it's Apple fans, lol.
