Date and time display when video is recorded on DVD

I have a canon MV790 digital camera.My problem is when I burn my capture video to a DVD,the date and time does not appears. The settings of both date and time are ok and they show on the LCD while I am recording.
I've try 3 softwares to try to bring date and time without success.
U.lead window film maker and nero

video camera with length in display

I want to know weather there is any video camera , handicam or camcorder which could display the length i.e the distance of the matter which we photographed , just as the date & time displayed .
