Just got my SpyderTv yesterday and ran the calibration on a Panasonic 50" plasma and a Sony 36" standard definition CRT. The process took around 30 minutes on each unit.

The difference between before and after was stunning. I thought I had everything set up well, but I was quite surprised. It's available on Amazon for less than 200 bucks. I really believe it was money very well spent.
