data recovery from dvd

can anyone help me recover a movie from a dvd that will not work on any pc laptop or dvd player..i downloaded it straight to a dvd recorder and it worked, but forgot to finalise it, that dvd recorder is now broken and i would like to be able to recover data off it as it is of my late partner..ant help would be appreciated

a few options.

1. DO NOT FINALIZE THAT DVD on any other machine. I tried it for a test on my DVDR and never could get the files out.

2. Buy another DVDR of the same make, model.
3. Try ISOBUSTER (see google.)
4. Have it done at http://www.drivesavers.com

Hi Bob, will try the last 2 first.. as i have already bought a new dvd player.. will they work even if it wont open on this laptop ???
