Data from dual boot

Oct 27, 2007 5:52AM PDT

I am dual booting my machine XP/Vista. I installed Vista first, but there are no compatible drivers for my existing hardware such as graphics card, wifi card, etc.

So I decided to shrink the partition and install XP on the new partition.

Now I would like to know how to transfer about 25GB of data files from my Vista partition over to XP.

Thx.

From your backups?

Hard disks go missing daily. You should have what you can't lose on other disks (DVD, USB drives, offline, etc.)

Live CD

Thx for your advice. I do backups. I just wanted to know if there was an easy way of copying files between sectors without burning to DVD or doing long online transfers.

Here's what I did. I simply booted from a Linux live CD, and mounted the partitions.

Thx.
