DATA BECKER XP tuning suite 3.0

by riversdale1 / September 20, 2008 10:57 AM PDT

I installed XP tuning suite 3.0 from the CD and it has knocked out some of my hardwares and software applications. All efforts to uninstall the program have failed. My fax machine, BearPaw 2448TA PRO Scanner and my Speedtouch 330 USB ADSL Modem plus my SpeedOptimiser and Webroot Antivirus with Antispyware have all stopped working. Furthermore, all attempts to reinstall them have failed.
I have tried System Restore but that feature does not seem to be working neither. The application's own unistall feature does not respond and it does not appear in the list of installed programs so that the add/remove feature in Control Panel can be used. The application however is in Program Files, so it seems as if it is using some secret code to hide in my computer. I am using my other removable HD with W 2000 Pro installed to send this mail.
The HD in which the XP tuning suite is installed is loaded with Windows XP Home edition with SP 2. My system is AMD XP 3000+.
Any suggestions as to how to get rid of this XP TUNING SUITE 3.0 from my computer will be welcomed.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
