Question

Dash cam quirk

I got a no name dash cam at a discount warehouse for 15 bucks. It's been working amazingly well for three weeks. Then it showed a bank white screen and that was it. Two days later it started working again. Any idea what this is about?

Could be too cheap.

Really. But give this a try. Go into the menu and format the memory card while it's in the camera. I've run into a few that need this monthly. Those cameras were cycled out of the fleet as the junk they were.

Works great for the price

Thanks. I can do that while it's working. Anything I can do if it goes whitescreen again?

Sure.

Try this. Power removed, remove the SD card and try to power it it. If it goes white screen try (varies with model) the reset button. Usually some hole marked reset. If that gets it out of the white screen, power off then slip in the card, format it again.
