Most minipci wi-fi cards are easy to swap out and usually they are in a slot accessed from under the notebook (which does not require you to remove the keyboard from the top and access the internal motherboard and electrical system).
So, yes, if this is your problem and the new minipci card is all you need to solve it you should be fine doing this.
You need to go to your dedicated user website at zd7000forums.com and either do a search for this topic (replacing or updating wi-fi card) and/or post a question there yourself.
I need everyone's advice about this situation.
A friend of mines just bought a HP ZD7000 straight from HP. And we tried setting up a wireless network, but his laptop will never connect to it. It just keeps trying. So we call HP, troubleshoot it for about 2 hrs, and then piss me off telling me to reinstall windows. thats when i said no, this is defective none of this will make it work.
So the guy said he will send me a new internal wireless card and that it is very easy to install.
My question to you guys is:
Is it easy to install a new wireless card in a ZD7000?
And can it damage the computer if we mess up?
Thanks
