Question

'Daisy chain' wi-fi extenders

Mar 17, 2017 10:56AM PDT

Hi all,

I bought two BT 11ac 1200 Wi-Fi Extenders with the intention of creating a 'daisy chain', ie. router to extender 1, then extender 1 to extender 2. But I've found out that these extenders cannot be set up in this way - each one will only receive a signal from the router, not from another extender. So does anyone know any models of wi-fi extender that can be used to create a daisy chain? Better yet, does anyone know of any extender that will work with my current BT 1200 Extender, ie. one that will receive and boost a signal from the BT extender, not directly from the router?

There is an old way to do this with a WiFi to Ethernet Client then from that to another WAP.

But setup is never done by those that need more detail than this. Also there's the awful issue of channel setting and bandwidth. Notice we only have one non overlapping channel in 802.11n?
