Question

DAB Radio's

Aug 28, 2015 3:28AM PDT

Hello,

In our offices we have a basement kitchen with no access to hard wired network / internet connection. We do have WiFi. Are there any DAB radio's that will play radio stations connected just to WiFi in a basement where there will be no other signal?

Thank you!
Michelle

Hi WebOutGateway

Thank you for this - but it doesn't say if they work on Wi-Fi only, without any signal?

Kind regards
Michelle

You're quite right

DAB is digital broadcast via the air, just like normal FM or AM, but digital. if you have no signal, you have no sound.

But since you have WiFi any laptop or PC or tablet or phone can connect to any of the 10000 radio broadcasts available via Internet. Just connect to any speaker set you like and you have the whole world to listen to.

In stead of using a PC or such, see the results of https://www.google.com/search?q=wifi+internet+radio for a more dedicated device.
