D2 vs Clix vs Ipod Nano - Mp3 rookie needs help

by tcozz / March 27, 2007 11:34 AM PDT

Here's the deal-

I am a college student in the market for a new mp3 player, and I have narrowed it down to these 3 (I think). I apologize if this thread has been posted already and I missed it.

The two biggest factors for me are durability and sound quality. I am going to be working construction all summer (12+ hr days in hot weather and lots o' dirt) so it needs to be able to take a lick or two. That said, I do plan on being careful with my new toy and taking as good of care of it as I can. And what's the point of a mp3 player if it doesn't sound good?

The pros for the ipod nano for me are the ease of use, aluminum case, access to a world of accessories, and lots of tech support when I need it.

I don't know much about the other two (or anyone that owns one), but I hear they can blow the ipod nano away, so someone please convince me.

I am leaning towards the d2 because of the battery life and expandable memory, but I am very cautious about the touch screen. Is it durable? Can you get a case for it? Do you have to be a tech whiz to figure out how to use the player to the full?

Any advice that can be given about these (or other similar players) is greatly appreciated. I have been looking for a month or so and can't make up my mind.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
