D-link wireless adapter stops seeing Netgear wireless router

Feb 11, 2005 3:17AM PST

I have a USB wireless g D-link adapter that initially "saw" my Netgear wireless g router. And when I first boot up my Windows ME computer, the D-link sees the Netgear. But after a short while, sometimes only as long as the desktop takes to finish booting, the D-link stops seeing the Netgear router.

When I first installed drivers and adapter, it worked fine, (1 month ago). But in the last couple of weeks, it stopped.

Networking, especially wireless networking, is definitely a black art. Any thoughts? (BTW, my Apple iBook has no problem seeing Netgear router.)
