D-Link Awful Tech Support & Policies-- STAY AWAY FROM D-LINK

About 4-5 months ago I purchased DI-524 router worked great, but I wanted to increase range so I purchased their dwl-g710 range extender. I have had it for 2 months and couldn't get it to work. Finally I had a tech support guy who said we could easily fix the problem manually even though my CD did not come with the proper utility. Unfortunately, I had to end the call, but when I called back 10 days later, a new "senior" tech guy told me to downgrade the firmware on my "working" router. Needless to say this fried my router. He authorized a return, but I have to pay to send back the broken router. Even thugh their tech guy gave me advice on how to fry it. Where is the fairness. They break it, I pay for it. Stay away from D-Link!!!!!!

Yea I had trouble with them too. Wireless router. talked with one rep. went through a whole list of stuff, none of it worked. Called back and talked to a different rep, she had me up and running within 30 seconds. She said reset router bang on fired right up.

A disabled SSID broadcast. That bit of advice you read out there was well meaning but causes many things to stop working.
