D, E, and A drive inacessible (incorrect function) message

I get a 'drive inaccessible' window when I try to read any of these media drives. It happened after I tried to install Cyberlinks Power DVD program which is supposed to make the DVD drive work because it wasn't? The install asks if I want to optimize or something like that...both the DVD and CD drive for DMA'. Don't know what that was either; I said yes. Install says if there are problems, reinstall the disk. But I can't because....'drive inaccessible'. This PC has had very little use; really don't think all 3 drives are toast.
HELP!!!, because I have NO IDEA what could be wrong. Tried everything.
