But they don't tell if its a partition, drive or such so others could have offered more guesses. Also, no clues were offered about how such was created or if said drive was moved to/from other machines. Such does make drives vanish.
In closing, if the BIOS doesn't see it, neither will windows.

ok i have already posted what my problem is, i have looked for the d drive under 'my computer' in the 'explore' section, on the left hand side the drive is not mentioned as it used to be and, it is not listed in the device manager. so i only have one more thing to add. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
oh and one more thing, i always use d drive to install my software, whenever downloading any programs which include a c d rom, now i cant, so anyone, plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz HELPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!.
