liang,
Did you attempt to reinstall the CD-Rom driver software? You should be able to find it on the original computer "Resources" CD, of the Recovery CD that came with the machine or possibly at the CD-Rom manufacturer's website.
Install the software, restart computer and if not detected by Windows, try running the "Add Hardware Wizard" in the Control Panel.
Hope this helps.

I've a ADM K-3 450, 6.4 G 128MB and 32MB PCI graphic card with a CD-ROM Drive and CD-RW (I installed myself with IDE cable 2)running in windows 98.
Every thing is fine.
Recently after I removed the CD-RW to another PC and try to use 1 IDE cable to fix on the HD and CD-ROM Drive to save 1 cable. The CD-ROM drive disappear when I start the computer!
What happen???
Please help!!!
