what difference does it make if it won't remove anything unless you buy it. I have seen many complaints and problems posted about that program in many forums anyway. If you don't like AVG, there are many people that like and use avast which is free.
For the last couple of months I have been trying various free anti-virus programs, which all seem to slow my system down. The scans usually take from 10 minutes to 2 hours ( I have three 120GB drives in my system). My friend told me about Cyberdefender, so I downloaded the free version which is a little confusing about what is free and what it does.
I tried it last week and liked user interface, speed, and that it works for spyware viruses and trojans. It also comes with 24/7 computer help. I also liked that they are a publicly traded company which to me helps with legitimacy.
What I didn?t like was that the free version only scans. It will let you remove trojans and spyware, but you have to buy the upgrade to remove viruses (I understand that they have do this so people will buy the software and they can make some money). It also had some pop ups reminding me to buy the upgrade, which some other anti virus programs also had.
I tried AVG's 30 day free trial, but I thought it was slow. Is Cyberdefender one of the fastest anti-virus programs?
