Damn the lack of a search.!

I seem to have missed some info.

I can sometimes get an update on shredder but it often tells me I can't connect. Hijackthis now does this all the time.

Could someone please bring me up to date on these problems and outline the solutions - which seem to be going into different sites to get the updates???

As some of you may have noticed, the primary sites that host the downloads for Hijack This and CWShredder, including Merijn.org, Spywareinfo.com and Tomcoyote.org are currently down due to a Denial of Service attack.

Those sites will hopefully be back up in the near future, but in the interim these files can be downloaded at the following links:

Hijack This v. 1.97.7: http://computercops.biz/zx/phoenix22/hijackthis.zip

CWShredder v. 1.49.0: http://www.computercops.biz/zx/phoenix22/cws.zip

ComputerCops is updated regularly, and uses the same links for each version of the program, so the above links should always hopefully give you the latest version.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
