Cutting/Splitting a JVC GZ-MG20AH recorded video.

by tyrantiger / January 13, 2007 2:23 PM PST

I am having some trouble here as i only have a CD burner, but one of the recorded video file is over 2gbs big.

The camcorder comes with the program - PowerDirector Express, and i also have VirtualDub. But i still dont get how to cut/split the video into parts under 700mb for it to fit on a CD.

Can someone help me out, the file type is .MOD.

If VLCPLAYER can play that MOD, use VLCPLAYER to transcode it to AVI and then VIRTUAL DUB to split it up.

Sorry, I decline to offer more info.

use virtualdub-mpeg2

Hi
The mod files are mpeg2 format.
You need to use the freeware virtualdub-mpeg2, this version supports importing of mpeg2 format.
Before importing you need to rename the mod to mpg.
