Question

cut,copy,paste

These options disappeared from my Dell computer about a mo. ago. You know, where you highlight, right click and select cut, copy or paste. How can I get them back? I have Windows 10.

- In a specific program (like File Explorer)?
- If in File Explorer, does it still work after clicking the Organize button?

I'm talking about a web page or any page where you want to copy a line or 2 by highlighting and selecting cut or copy and then go to another place and paste. I use to be able to do this but lately I can't get the option to cut, copy or paste to come up in a little box like it did before. (Thank you for replying)

Webpages don't have have those options, only browsers have. And, for other pages, Word documents don't have those options, only the Word program does.

Indeed, if I select something in my browser (Firefox) and right click, I get a box letting me choose between copy, search google or inspect element. I never knew. I just press ctrl-C or Edit>Copy from the menu.

What browser do you use? Did you try other browsers (choose from Internet Explorer, Edge, Firefox and Chrome, all free)?

I use the Edge browser. I guess I can use the shortcuts you mentioned. Thank you for your help.

If it still not works, try to enter Device Manager and uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver to see whether copy and paste work or not:
Right-click on This PC/My Computer > Select Manage;
Select Device Manager, expand Keyboards section > Right-click the keyboard that you want to repair and select Uninstall;
Then click Windows Start button and click Restart. Windows will reboot and automatically detect your keyboard and reinstall the keyboard drivers.

My devise manager did not offer the option to uninstall. There was an offer to remove keyboard. I didn't know if I removed it if it would come back after a reboot. Thank you for your help.
