Second, my experience too. But there's a reason why Samsung is falling behind. They are chasing a market from about 5 or more years ago. For now, get a Roku.
USB Bluetooth is not going to happen. There is no PC in the TV and the code won't talk to the dongle. Your Logitech Harmony Hub and remote should do the tricks.
I have a 2013 UN50F5500AF with an up to date firmware (2210) as of today. A few things are bugging be and I can’t seem to find any answers anywhere:
- First I’d like to get directly to the app menu instead of the TV menu after booting or pressing the smart hub button. I’ve gone through the settings but couldn’t find anything
- Second, coming from Roku I’m a little disappointed by the performances of the remote. This TV doesn’t have a Bluetooth radio and I was looking into my options:
- Any chance to enable the Bluetooth functionalities through a USB dongle and use Samsung’s smart touch remote. I believed it’s the save firmware as some Bluetooth enabled models?
- The TV is connected on my LAN and has WiFi direct, any chances things will improve with a third party remote such as the Logitech Harmony (not clear if it will through RF or IR)?
