Question

Custom gaming build help please!

Apr 14, 2015 3:31AM PDT

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the building side of computers. I'm 20 years old, so I have some basic computer knowledge. I'm attempting to build my first computer and I'm seeking advice. Here is a list of what I think will make a good gaming PC.
-(CPU) AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition
-(Motherboard) ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
-(RAM) Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Black (HX318C10FBK2/16)
-(SSD) Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)
-(Hard drive) WD Blue 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200rpm Internal Hard Drive
-(Video card) EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SuperSC ACX 2.0+ 2GB GDDR5 128bit, PCI-E 3.0 Dual-Link DVI-I, 3 x DP, HDMI, SLI, HDCP, G-SYNC Ready Graphics Cards 02G-P4-2966-KR
-(Case) http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PWM49G2/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1429032234&sr=8-2&keywords=pc+case&dpPl=1&dpID=51yx4BqpfLL&ref=plSrch&pi=AC_SY200_QL40

This is my build so far. Will all of this work together well and will it all fit? I still need a power supply but I think that is all. Can you guys give me your input and advice for this build. Also could you guys recommend a decent power supply that will work with all this. I really want to get started on this soon. Also, do you guys know where I can get windows 8 for a cheaper price? It's very expensive on Amazon.

Thanks again

Optical unit?

You might need it to install the OS.

Psu.....I would think a 500w single rail unit would work fine.
Brand...I lean toward corsair but there are others.

W8...looks like about 100 bucks for the dvd.
