about that Ram not being seen by Speccy ..
Maybe a bad stick ?
I think the Pro's here would like to see that Speccy report so please post it ...
Hello everyone,
I have been having issues with my computer that I built myself and am attempting to fix the issue however I am having trouble doing so;
I have had no previous issues of any kind whatsoever, but, for the past week I have had issues where simple tasks are laggy and slow, not to mention that my twitch stream suffers as it becomes a powerpoint slideshow with real-time sound. Even running a game as simple as Rocket League produces choppiness as if I had poor connection in an online game despite being offline. If anyone would be willing to assist with this issue I will leave a list of my specs (as seen from Speccy) and steps taken below:
Specs:
Operating System:
>Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU:
>Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz
>Skylake 14mm Technology
RAM:
>G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800)
>(Speccy did not recognize the RAM and one of the sticks was faulty so only 24GB are installed)
Motherboard:
>MSI Z170A GAMING M5 (MS-7977) (U3E1)
Graphics:
>4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (MSI)
Storage:
>931GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB (SSD)
Steps Taken:
I have attempted reinstalling several drivers for Nvidia and making sure OS was updated, installed recent BIOS updates, I have made sure virtual memory settings for W10 were to preference, I have checked that there were no processes in the task manager where hogging any resources, I have run scans through CCleaner and Malwarebytes, and most recently did a reset of the computer sending it back to a fresh install state and reinstalling the graphics drivers and Rocket League just to test it.
In closing: if anyone would be so kind as to provide assistance it would be Most Appreciated.
Thank you.
