Cursor Jumps When Typing

by sheri81428 / March 16, 2005 12:55 PM PST

It's got to be along the virus line. My laptop just started doing this two days ago. I have a HP Pavillion and have had it for three years. I recently downloaded SP2 so don't know if that has something to do with it. But have noticed that it mostly happens when I type different words starting with letter the letter y..., especially the word you or your. I've run Norton, Xsoft, Adware, and have come up with nothing.

HELP!! It's impossible to type anything when 'almost' everytime you type the word you, the cursor jumps. (It didn't happen just them). Can't figure this one out.

here: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_antispyware.htm

to see if your versions of Adware & Xsoft(special note) are the ones mentioned/ listed. If so : Dump 'em! Rec. Spybot S&D 1.3 & Adaware SE (links in "Parasite Suite" post elsewhere this page and I believe at Spywarewarriors site).
I also have a HP Pavillion (1 1/2 year old model) which I have recently upped to SP2(via disk direct from MS) and see no similar cursor jump problem. I've got Sun Java 1.4.2_07 jre (with latest security fixes) which may avoid something you caught if your Java is MS's or older Sun version (particularly pre _06).
Last & simplest thought: Bum key in keyboard? Happy

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
