Cursor jumps around

Jan 16, 2012 6:36AM PST

I recently installed a LogiTech Cordless Optical TrackMan and since then the cursor jumps around and I start typing where I don't want to. I have a HP, running Windows XP. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and have made sure my hand is not accidentally touching the mouse pad on my laptop. Any fixes?

Does it change if you disable that touchpad or the stick in your keyboard?

(NT) Yes, that seemed to stop the jumping around. Thank you.
