Cursor freezes

by bruvensky / June 23, 2009 4:10 AM PDT

I have a Creative laser mouse. Lately the cursor freezes on the screen often. Moving my fingers or something else under the mouse does not help. I have to wait until it unfreezes by itself. I use XP.

Is just he mouse freezing or is the actual computer freezing? Are you able to type? Do your programs continue to run?

It might be that your processor and memory ar ebing used up and your computer lags in one area or another.

Cheers,

The mouse cursor freezes on the screen, not the cursor in a document. My programs continue to run. It happens if I have a few programs running or just a couple.

I have the same problem. mouse and keyboard stop responding for a short while when I have two or more programs running. Even clicking the start button makes the mouse pointer freeze for a short while and I have to wait till it unfreezes. Anyone know the solution please help me out on this. And sometimes even if there is only one program running the mouse pointer "jumps" from one position to another usually an inch above it's initial position. Does anyone know why? I use intel board and have XP MCE.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
