Part I.
1. Click Start, All Files and Folders, More Advanced Options, enter a check in Search Hidden Files and Folders, Search System Folders, and Search Subfolders. Type ie.inf in All or Part of the File Name box, select C: in the Look In drop-down menu or the letter of the hard drive containing the Windows folder, and then click the Search button. Find the file labeled ie.inf in the result pane. Right-click this file and then from the context menu, select Install.


Bill, when I click on START , 'All Files and Folders' does not show on my computer.
Below is complete list of what pops up when I click START.

Activate windows
SBC Yahoo
SBC Yahoo Messenger
Set Program Access and Defaults
Windows Catalog
Windows Update

Is this NORMAL for XP Home, or is ?All Files and Folders ? supposed to be there?

search for "All Files and Folders" results in nothing found.

Try again. Follow the exact instructions. You are supposed to make an advanced search, not a search at "All files and folders".
