Question

Current Free TechTracker Maybe Infected according to FreeAVG

May 22, 2011 4:29PM PDT

I am using Free AVG antivirus 2011 and it is reporting that the current Free TechTracker available 2.0.3.59.a from Download.com is infected with OpenCandy Malware.
Can someone verify that the code is not infected?

You could research what open candy is. Or you can decide you don't want it. It's sad they called it malware when it doesn't have any indication it does that. It may be Adware which is something else.

And there's more like it!

Think otherwise. If you do a litter research on Open Candy you see what it is and you can remove it later.

Or you can opt not to install apps that use this.
