Ok, doing a bit of spamming in a small way here maybe. I'm asking in a couple of different forums.
I've recently received email advertising announcing the release of Roxio Easy Creater 8. Looking for reviews, I find that Nero 6 and Roxio 7 are consistently two of the best, with the edge there seemingly a bit toward Nero 6. Searching quickly, I also see Nero 7 is out. Evidently Nero 7 and Roxio 8 are so new that the reviews are scarce yet.
Lots of posts when search on either brand, read several, but not many seem to be dealing with the newer, much less the newest, versions as far as opinions, likes and dislikes.
I've had pleasant experiences with Roxio before, a few editions back. I've used Sonic (limited version included on this computer) My DVD. My impressions are more in favor of Roxio personally, but that was cd burner software and we're talking DVD and CD burning now.
So I thought I'd ask for any personal opinions and experiences. I may end up buying two copies of whatever I decide to use for me and my wife's computer. Her's right now is a bit older than mine, but the specs are well above any minumums I've seen for the software. It's possible I may even decide to buy one copy of two different programs or versions if it seems there is something each does much better than the other, but then we have to learn to use both.
