Curious Idea

Aug 19, 2005 7:51AM PDT

Recently, while shopping at my local Best Buy, I saw something really neat: the new RCA stereo that included a 128 MB Lyra (their line of ultra-compact MP3 player). The neat part of it is this: the MP3 player plugs into a USB slot that's on the stereo, and with one touch of a button, you can put music from a CD, the radio, or a SD memory card onto the stereo. (The player has a docking port on the stereo). All of this has led me to this idea/question.

Since it just uses standard USB, could we use any kind of MP3 player, such as an iPod shuffle?

If you want to look at the stereo and the MP3 player, go here, hit view more pictures (it's on the left) and hit alternate view. Remove the line break that I put in there.
