Question

CS:GO and DellDataVault

Mar 11, 2015 9:10PM PDT

I have a Dell XPS 8700

Windown 8.1 Pro
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 16GB
System: 64-bit, x64-based processor

Basically while I'm playing CS:GO my PC decides to freeze up after anywhere between 5mins to 30 mins of play - my screens go black, occasionally with vertical lines, and the audio starts buzzing and 'contorting'. I end up having to manually shut down and turn back on again.

I checked the event log and it seemed to be an issue with the Dell Data Vault installed on my PC. So I decided to delete the dell data vault folder. But the problem still occurs because: "The Dell Data Vault Wizard service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified" - event log.

I've downloaded various uninstall programs but none of them detect Dell Data Vault because I deleted it Sad

This problem only occurs whilst playing CS:GO

If anyone could help that would be great, I've scoured the internet for solutions but there seems to be none.

Awesome, thanks. I've also installed the latest AMD Catalyst just in case it was a graphics card problem, and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Thanks
