Why not disable the service? Then it won't start and probably won't give an error.
http://www.askvg.com/windows-8-services-configuration-turn-off-disable-background-services-to-improve-system-performance/ tells how to do it.

I have a Dell XPS 8700
Windown 8.1 Pro
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 16GB
System: 64-bit, x64-based processor
Basically while I'm playing CS:GO my PC decides to freeze up after anywhere between 5mins to 30 mins of play - my screens go black, occasionally with vertical lines, and the audio starts buzzing and 'contorting'. I end up having to manually shut down and turn back on again.
I checked the event log and it seemed to be an issue with the Dell Data Vault installed on my PC. So I decided to delete the dell data vault folder. But the problem still occurs because: "The Dell Data Vault Wizard service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified" - event log.
I've downloaded various uninstall programs but none of them detect Dell Data Vault because I deleted it
This problem only occurs whilst playing CS:GO
If anyone could help that would be great, I've scoured the internet for solutions but there seems to be none.
