I am trying to connect two computers with a crossover cable. I have done the Network Wizard and that didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks!

OS's being used and machine hardware. But the basics are:

1) workgroup names the same
2) file and print sharing enabled
3) firewalls down or excepting file and print sharing
4) some folders set to be shared

Tools to test networking capability:

1) Net View from a cmd prompt
2) Ping from a cmd prompt.
