crossfirex?

Right now my rig has a radeon HD 5450. I am thinking about getting another one and using crossfirex. I am worried that this is a waste of money and that I should just get a better card. Do you think it would be worth it to get the same one and have two or should I just get a better card? (not too expensive).

Actually I want to rephrase my question for clarity. What card would be roughly equal to 2 5450 cards?
