Question

Critical error message on Windows 10

Apr 23, 2016 10:00AM PDT

This message has been on my laptop for days now, and it's prevented me from using softwares:
"CRITICAL ERROR
Your start menu isn't working. We'll try to fix it the next time you sign in".
Pls how do I resolve this permanently? I had windows 7 on my lappy before this forced upgrade to win 10.
I'd appreciate your help a great deal.
Many thanks.

But try a hard shutdown, wait a few minutes and reboot. Has worked for me on several machines.

First try your spare admin account. If that works well, consider it a case of a corrupted account and get rid of it.
If your spare account doesn't work either, go to back to Windows 7. You've got 30 days to do that, after your voluntary (it's not required and not forced) upgrade to Windows 10. If you can't login, you need the installation disk or USB-stick you can make with the Windows Media Creation tool.
