find Toshiba manual and read up.
unplug Hdd to maybe be allowed to get into BIOS to set detection to AUTO. Also uncheck "silent boot" if availible. Unit may not like Hdd above 8gb. Download Seagate Hdd floppy. It will maybe put on bootoverlay so Hdd can be used on older PC.
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200, and the 6GB Hard Drive died on me. So I bought a brand new Seagate Momentus 20GB (because no new HD are available with a smaller capacity). The thing is that the computer does not recognizes it.
I cannot access the BIOS either,(F2 sends me to the boot menu, and the "DEL" key does not seem to work) so my options are running low.
Please, can some one tell me at least if my computer is compatible with the HD.
Thank you very much.
