I have had CRICKET Broadband wireless service for less than a Month and I can tell you after 2 weeks my STREAMING/DOWNLOAD speeds went down to 10KBPS. It is a joke. When I called customer service they said I had exceeded my 5gb limit. I have made (2) $40 payments and they said it would reset after 30 days. still waiting. Dont waste your money on this BAD service unless you only want to look at webpages not movies!!!
Well, I've dropped Cox due to their outrageous prices and gone with Cricket. I can program my HDTV to scan for the digital channels (which all stations should have by now) and receive the local channels. I don't watch television much. This broadband modem from Cricket, which connects to the USB port is fine. The speed is decent, but not quite the minimum cable speed. It is more like DSL speed, I think.
Just wondering, is there any kind of upload/download booster for this modem/connection? I have had dialup with AOL many years ago with a booster that made the connection DSL speed. Would be great if there is something for this as well.
Any other tips is appreciated. ![]()
