You asked if you can. Only you know your abilities. If you have basic mechanical skills, why not?
-> But today I suggest you never mix an untested OS and unsupported gear. That's a prescription for pain and delays.
I'm building an ibrid desktop/server PC for data analysis, but I don'y know if it is possible.
In particular I don't know if all these hardware will be able to work togheter:
-MOBO: Supermicro H8DGT-HF
-CPU: dual opteron 6276
-RAM: 2x 16gb ddr3 1600mhz ecc reg (m393b2g70qh0-ck00
-GPU: Ati Radeon R7 250x Sapphire vapor-x 2gb gddr5
-OS: Windows 10
I have already contacted the producers but they told me that "probably yes" but nothing is been tested before.
CPU and MOBO should work together with no proplems.
RAM and MOBO teoretically "yes" but I don't know with precision.
OS and MOBO are been tested only until Windows 8.1.
GPU and MOBO are the same PCI slot but it's all I know.
One last question, can I adapt a big chassis to this mobo? Because I have fond only server case for it.
I would know your opinion about that.
Thank you for the answers.
