Creative Zen Vision M: play all tracks by one artist?

Mar 20, 2006 6:40AM PST

hey,

i just bought a creative zen vision M and i love everything about it. my question arises because i enjoy playing all tracks by one particular artist that i have. instead of listening to an entire album i would rather play all the tracks by one artist in random order. i can't seem to find a way to do this without having to go back everytime i finish a song and select the new album. any way i can get around this?
thanks.

I don't know...

...but you could create a playlist of all of that artist's songs and play it on shuffle.

Exactly what I was thinking.

The only problem with this is if your tags have <artist> feat. <artist> format. That would not be fun so the only way to really do it is to make some ole playlists. It just takes a little time anyays. I have done it several times.

Yes, it can be done but you need have your ID3 tags set up correctly because that's what the player uses to determine the particular artist. If you have guest artist included on certain songs that's considered a different artists. Once that's all straight, here's what you need to do.

On the Vision:M, just go to ARTIST, scroll down to the artist you want, then simply press the "PLAY" button. The same goes for GENRES and ALBUMS too. Once the songs start, press the OPTIONS button and set the Play Mode to Shuffle.

Hope that helps.
