Creative Zen Vision M

Being an old timer, I am having a problem grasping the concept of using the MP3 player. Any advice on how I can master it? The instructions are for someone who is well aware of manuevering around a piece of electronics. I am looking for an easy way of understanding the workings so I can record from fm radio, listen and burn to cds. Any advice?
