Creative Zen or iriver recording

Iwas wondering if it is possible to link a extnal mic to either the iriver clix or creativ zen vision: m
I want to record lectures and am concerned that the recorder on the players wont be strong enough.

I know the ipod has a system you can link up and i am wondering if zen or iriver has anything similar.

Any help would be wonderful .
Any othe other players you can recomand which are quite new would also be great .
