General discussion

Creative Vision M vs. Toshiba Gigabeat

Sep 21, 2007 9:50AM PDT

I am looking for pros/cons for each of these. I am undecided between the 30GB and the 60GB. It is important that it is easy to use, user replaceable battery, good battery life, drag and drop interface to pc, and FM tuner. Also, needs to have at least generic accessories such as cable to connect to home stereo, car, and remote speakers. THX!

both are good

check the c|net reviews. I think you are referring to the Gigabeat S? Both are good but getting old though. The Gigabeat was smaller and thinner, the screen was .1" shorter but still the same colors and resolution. It's harder to find than the Vision M, and Microsoft crapped out the hardware for the Zune

Yes, I was referring to the Gogabeat S and the Vision M. Is there something similar to both now offered that is better? The negative reviews I've read on the CVM is the constuction is flimsy. It does seem to have more options and availability of accessories than the Gigabeat S tho.

toshiba gigabeat

I have this one and I enjoy it. It has not given me any problems so far (hang ups, etc), and is easy to operate. The only trouble I had was when I tried to play video on tv and I couldn't get it to operate.
I emailed Toshiba who helped me through it. It might not be the greatest(?) but I like it.
