General discussion

creative muvo n200

i have had my n200 since march. i bought the orange 256mb one from frys. my only problem is that it seems the volume decrease whenever i move the headphone cable. i know, this is weird. my headphone are plugged in all the way, the are sony ear buds i dont know what model, but it does this on all my other headphones.

example: listening to radio, bend cable a little bit, sound quality/volume goes up. return it to normal, sound goes up and so does quality.

when i say volume goes up, i dont mean the volume bar selector thing changes, the volume just rises.

how can i keep it on the normal volume up one instead of the lower volume one.

thanks

konny

I have not had those problems. Might I suggest you check your firmware version by clicking on the Settings icon, go to Information icon (next to the cancel icon)the first thing it should show you is the firmware version. The lastest one released by Creative is 1.12.01 (feb.). If you have that version or you upgrade to it and you still have that problem, try another pair of headphones. I use a pretty old pair of sony earbuds and I have never encountered the problem you are talking about. If those two things don't solve the problem, talk to Creative tech support and try to get a return authorization number. Do it quickly because the N200's warranty is kind of short. Hope this helps.
