Creating 'hotmail' account!!

Oct 19, 2006 8:52AM PDT

I've been trying to register on another forum for several weeks. I have AOL internet and unfortunately the forum I'm wanting to register on does not accept AOL email addresses.

It does, however, except hotmail ones, so I was hoping to create one.

So.. a couple of questions

1) How do I create a hotmail account?

2) Once it's created will the confirmation email that comes from registering on the site drop into my AOL mailbox still, or something else?

Replies appreciated!

Thanks.

Thanks for the instructions; sorry I didn't reply sooner- I forgot I'd posted this topic in the first place!

I have created a hotmail account, only problem is I have now emailed the admin on the forum and she replied telling me that sometimes the forum rejects hotmail as well as AOL. I have since tried and had no results.. sadly.

So, I was wondering: are there any other free email accounts available aside from hotmail and my default, that I could possibly use?

Many thanks

I Use Yahoo Mail
Nov 6, 2006 5:28AM PST

Here's the link to sign up for free mail:

http://mail.yahoo.com/?.intl=ca

The free mail can only be accessed as "webmail" (viewing from the internet) and can not be downloaded to a mail client like Microsoft Outlook or Outlook, UNLESS you pay for the Yahoo PLUS version. Still, I use Yahoo as one of my addresses because it's fairly easy to use.

Hope this helps.
