But here I was thinking and now will share this is not a tablet issue at all. Even the "training tablets"* should be fine if you create some PDF and use any number of PDF readers. The ability to display static content is pretty much a done deal.
HOWEVER when you want to incorporate video you find that not all Android tablets come ready to play the video in how you encoded it.
Are you finding folk taken aback over video encoding?

PS. "training tablets" in my definition are those 99 buck models that folk snap up and learn or get trained about how a slightly more expensive tablet would have been a better choice. Often the training includes finding out how lacking support is in this price range.
I like to create HTML documents on my laptop so that I can read them at restaurants that don't have wi-fi access. I can do really basic HTML docs with Open Office that are easily readable with any browser.
Can I create and/or download composed documents on any ol' tablet or does that require going up to a certain price range? I presume I'd have to use a regular word processor and just read a regular document as opposed to an HTML document. As long as I can read the document without page breaks and am able to smoothly scroll it, I'd be content with that. Being able to display pictures, play videos, etc. nice but not necessary.
Any recommended tablets for this?
