Resolved Question

Creating A Short Cuts Folder

Feb 27, 2012 6:33AM PST

I'm setting up my new desktop that has Windows 7 on it.
I created a SHORT CUTS FOLDER on my old computer which had icons to run programs so my desktop wouldn't be cluttered.
How do I setup something like this with Windows 7????
I have the used all the time programs in plain view like
the Firefox browser.

There is a simple way to creating a shortcut of any file

Re: short cuts folder.

That's the same in Windows 7 as it was in XP.

1. Make a folder.
2. Make all shortcuts on the desktop.
3. Move all those shortcuts to that folder.
4. Make one shortcut to that folder on your deskop.

Which of the 4 doesn't work in Windows 7?

Still Having Problems
Feb 27, 2012 7:23AM PST

Thanks for the reply!!!!
I'm still having some problems.
I have the folder pinned to the left side of the screen
(that is where my task bar is positioned), but it shows
6 libraries (documents, new library, music, programs,
videos, and pictures).
I only want the programs library to show. Can I delete
the other 5 libraries without causing a problem????
By the way, I am testing this on my lap top to make
sure I do it right with no problems.
